1 stabbed near Buckingham Fountain, Chicago police say

A man was stabbed and seriously injured while walking near Buckingham Fountain in the Loop Thursday Night, Chicago police said.
The stabbing, which was reported by ABC7 Chicago, occurred at about 11:37 p.m. on the 500 block of South Columbus Drive.
According to Chicago police, a 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were walking when a male suspect approached. A verbal argument assumed, which then became physical.
A sharp object was taken out by the suspect and stabbed the man on his neck before fleeing on foot, police said.
The man was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said. No other injuries were reported.
A police investigation is still ongoing.
