Columbia College Chicago celebrates student employees during ‘Student Employee Appreciation Week’

With students hard at work getting ready for finals in the last weeks of the semester, Columbia College Chicago is taking the time to also highlight the hard-working student employees this week through the college’s “Student Employment Appreciation Week.”

All week-long events can be found happening on the college’s campus for students to connect with one another to have fun during finals downtime.

At a student employee exclusive event coordinated by on campus student employees on Monday, April 13, attendees watched the newest "Captain America” movie. Students were able to unwind with snacks and the movie ahead of finals. 

Sofie Posada, a senior student at the college, said that events like these that are geared towards the appreciation of on campus student employees are great ways for those hard working students to find others in the community.

“That makes me happy,” Posada said. “It makes me feel at home.”

Posada is far from the only student employee on campus. With over 20 active postings for on campus jobs through the job app Handshake and more being added throughout the academic year, students will have plenty of options to apply for.
