Columbia College Chicago students celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 11, and students are reflecting on their relationships with the parental figures in their lives. 

Emily Keeling, a junior film and television major who isn’t originally from Chicago, said that she lives about five hours away from her mother. Keeling said that the best thing that her mother did for her was show her how to be a woman. 

“You can be your own person regardless of men,” Keeling said.
