Earth Day event at Columbia College Chicago raises awareness on protecting the planet

Columbia College Chicago students are celebrating Earth Day with Columbia XA, a Christian based organization. The focus is to bring awareness on how to protect the planet. 

The event hosts games and conversations so students can learn how small actions can make a big impact.

The organization strives to teach what it means to recycle and take care of this earth. 

Trinity Veal, a junior music major at the school, said that the aim of the event was to teach more people about Earth Day.

Events like this aim to protect the planet by raising awareness and performing simple actions that can be taken every day.
