Interim provost Suzanne McBride responded to student questions and concerns during a
“Hi-Tea” Q&A session on Tuesday, March 31.
The event was held at the Hive at 618 S. Michigan Ave. President and CEO Shantay Bolton held a similar “Hi-Tea” session last fall.
At the event, McBride said that the college is not planning to cut academic programs at this time. She also said that the college is working on creating more scholarships for students.
Junior fine arts major Michael Kowalkowski said that administrators should take opportunities like “Hi-Tea” to speak directly with students about their experience at the college.
“Unless they’re coming down speaking with students they’re not going to get the full story. Which is not good when they’re in charge of the students and their success,” Kowalkowski said.
