Two teens charged in string of armed robberies spanning South Loop and Fuller Park

Two teenage boys, ages 14 and 17, are facing multiple charges after police say they carried out three armed robberies within 45 minutes on Monday night across the South Loop, as previously reported by CBS News


The teens were arrested by the Chicago Police Citywide Robbery Task Force at approximately 10:16 p.m. in the 200 block of West 47th Street in the Fuller Park neighborhood. According to the police, they were charged with robberies and aggravated batteries in three locations on Monday; 700 block of South Clark Street at 9:30 p.m., and in the 600 block of South Federal Street at 9:46 p.m.


A third robbery occurred at 10:13 p.m. in the 200 block of West 47th Street, shortly before the teens were taken into custody.

Both suspects have been charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, indicating a firearm, along with two counts each of attempted robbery and aggravated battery in a public place.
